Fallout 76: Wastelanders – 70GB Download, Pre-Load & Unlock Time known

Playfront

The comprehensive Wastelanders update for ‘Fallout 76’ is released today, the launch details of which have now been confirmed by Bethesda.

Wastelanders is a fresh start for Appalachia and equally suitable for beginners and experienced players with a new main quest, human NPCs, new decisions, allies, a reputation system and much more. Players will form alliances with new factions to uncover West Virginia secrets, either with friends or as a loner.

Of course, all these innovations also include a somewhat larger patch, which in this case weighs around 70 gigabytes on consoles. If you want to get started with Wastelanders on time at 13:59 Central European time, you can start the pre-load now. The complete changelog is available at this link.

Key changes in Wastelanders include:

  • New Main Quest and Revised Original Main Quest – Players, alone or with friends, can discover the secrets of West Virginia in a brand new main quest, as well as a revised, original main quest. The quests are available as soon as players leave Vault 76. Whether you’re a veteran or a novice, new missions and locations are waiting to be explored as players battle side by side with (or against) new characters who have made their way to West Virginia.
  • Human NPCs – Players can make friends with their new neighbors who want to rebuild the country and relive Appalachia through the eyes of its residents – or use them selfishly.
  • New Creatures and Equipment – By killing new mutant creatures that invaded the region, players can earn even stronger weapons and armor.
  • Decisions and Consequences – Classic dialogues give players new scope for action. The brand new reputation system affects decisions on the status of the different factions.

Fallout 76: Wastelanders will be free for all players.
