PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds presents a crazy new limited-time event where putting guns aside for brawler-style combat.
PUBG presents Fantasy Battle Royale, a new temporary event that encourages us to put aside the typical weapons arsenal to plunge into a kind of world of sword and witchcraft as colorful as crazy. Thus, and only until next April 7, we can take part in the most hilarious contests with swords, shields, maces and all kinds of gadgets in the skin of barbarians, magicians, paladins or explorers.
Choose your class and fight for your life
Thus, one of the main novelties of this new thematic mode is that we can choose our class among four types, either as a barbarian, an expert melee fighter with many points of health and fury, as an explorer, specialist in long distances thanks to his deadly Dragon Slayer crossbow, as a magician, with great power to cast destructive spells capable of razing groups of enemies, or as a paladin, the healing class capable of healing allies with his Darning Light.
As you can see, the tone of this new event is totally humorous and bets on fast games with the most unexpected effects. Thus, each player starts with a weapon, a necklace and a ring belonging to the selected class, although through the scenario we will find materials that will allow us to improve weapons and equipment. If this new option is successful enough among the community, its creators do not rule out that it reaches the standard version of the title.
On the other hand, we can unlock new themed skins that we can use later in the normal PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds games, thus proving our worth in Fantasy Battle Royale, although we can also get hold of them through micropayments with real money.
