Fernando Alonso will reveal a custom helmet at Monza this weekend, paying homage to late team manager Adrián Campos.
The design shifts from the apex‑grey trio of Aston Martin into a palette of red and yellow, the colours of the Spanish flag, mirroring Campos’s own racing livery.
Campos, who guided Alonso from karting into Formula One and served as his first dedicated manager, left the sport following his death in 2021.
After competing for Minardi in 1987–88, he became a noted driver‑development figure – the foundation upon which Alonso’s career was built.
Alonso enters the Italian Grand Prix after scoring two points at the Dutch round, leaving him 19th in the drivers’ standings with a total of three points.
Aston Martin has struggled through power‑unit woes, introduced a B‑spec chassis at Hungary, and upgraded the unit at Zandvoort, yet remains 10th in the constructors’ table, ahead only of newly formed Cadillac.
With Lance Stroll in 21st and point‑free, the team’s hopes rest on a late‑season resurgence.
Monza will host the 2026 Italian Grand Prix from 4‑6 September, offering a stage for the tribute helmet and a new chapter in season counts.
