FIFA 21 will have the Spanish LaLiga exclusively; EA renews the license

FIFA 21 tendrá LaLiga española en exclusiva; EA renueva la licencia

The North American company may exploit the license exclusively during this period, as has been officially announced.

Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao, Real Sociedad … all LaLiga teams will continue to be present in the popular Electronic Arts saga, which opens this year FIFA 21, a title that was unveiled during EA Play Live 2020. This was announced by EA Sports, which has reached an agreement to renew its agreement with the entity and extend the contract for another 10 more years. In this way, this football simulator will exclusively enjoy all the teams and players in the competition.

The heading of the new agreement also includes a commitment to esports from the hand of eLaliga Santander. “Our joint commitment will have an immediate impact on EA Sports FIFA’s upcoming experiences, as well as long-term opportunities to continue to strengthen the relationship with LaLiga fans over the next decade,” said Cam Weber, general manager of EA Sports at an official statement.

The relationship between both entities is very long-lived, since the FIFA developer has been working for 20 years with the licenses of the Spanish competition. In front is Konami and his Pro Evolution Soccer saga, which has also managed to get the rights to some specific competitions. Currently, the Japanese have the UEFA license, which allows them to operate the Euro Cup.

FIFA 21, both current and new generation

After renewing the Madden NFL license, Electronic Arts introduced its new sports video games. How could it be otherwise, FIFA 21 has not missed the appointment, a game that will see the light on all possible platforms. Of course, neither PlayStation 5 nor Xbox Series X will be lost, which will enjoy graphic improvements and will be updated for free if you have the previous generation versions. For its part, it has already been confirmed that the PC version will be the same as that of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the Nintendo Switch will once again receive a mere update of templates and kits.

FIFA 21 was shown through a short trailer, which you can see at the head of this news. The game uses the Frostbite graphics engine, the same one that has been used in the last installments of the series.
