Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is delayed again; new date announced

The remastering of the GameCube classic was scheduled for late 2019, but has already been delayed twice.

There will be no Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition before the New Year's Eve grapes, something that was already known, as Square Enix decided to delay its release until January 2020. However, the title will dodge the cold winter and go on sale on a date warmer, specifically in summer 2020. The decision has been made because the study still needs additional time to polish the game experience.

The announcement has been made through a statement on social networks, where Square Enix wanted to make clear the reasons for the delay of this new version of the classic GameCube. "We have read many positive messages that have given us encouragement, so all team members want to thank the support shown so far," they said in a chain of five tweets.

“Today we announce that the departure date has moved to summer 2020. We have made the decision to adjust the launch date to give the development team some extra time so they can give the last stitches to the game, in order to get the best possible experience. ” The Japanese company has asked the players for patience, while they have been hopeful that the players will continue to maintain the support they have shown throughout all these months.

Cooperative online

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles was one of the exclusive titles designed for GameCube. It was designed as a multiplayer video game, although it could not be enjoyed with four controls. The game used Game Boy Advance as a pad, so that all players had to have their respective portable console.

With the arrival of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition, that barrier is completely erased, since players will have the opportunity to play online with their own controls. It will go on sale on PS4, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices (iOS and Android) as planned.
