Final Fantasy VII is updated on PS4 and corrects one of its most annoying errors

The music was restarted after each battle, but after four years in the market, Square Enix has decided to change this and other aspects.

By surprise, without eating it or drinking it. This is how update 1.02 of Final Fantasy VII has arrived, the PS4 port of the first PlayStation classic. Square Enix has announced through social networks that the update is now available for download. According to the tweet, one of the errors that has given more to talk about is solved. Specifically, the one that causes the music to restart after each fight.

"Today we released patch 1.02 for the original Final Fantasy VII of PS4," says the tweet. "This fixes a problem that caused the background music to restart at the end of each battle." They also report that they have fixed minor bugs, although they have not entered into more details in this regard.

The Final Fantasy VII port was launched in 2015 through the PlayStation Store and has dragged the music bug ever since. However, the Japanese company added other unpublished features with respect to the original, such as the possibility of increasing the speed of the game or the option to completely disable the fighting.

Months before the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake

Square Enix finalizes the development of the first episode of Final Fantasy VII Remake, which will reimagine the classic with new narrative layers. This will strengthen the relationship between the characters and open the doors to introduce sequences never seen in the original. In addition, the Japanese company has outlined a new combat system more focused on action, but without forgetting its strategic facet. In fact, the subject system has been reformulated, but the bases are still present.

The new Square Enix title, which will be released on March 3, will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 for a period of one year, as confirmed through the video game box.
