Final Fantasy VII Remake check out Red XIII in a new image

The character will be present in the first part of the game, but will not be playable, as Square Enix previously announced.

Bad times for Midgar and the planet. While Shinra absorbs the energy of the world, revolutionaries try to stop the company, whose Machiavellian plans do not stop for a second. Cloud, Barret, Tifa and Aeris will be some of those who raise their weapons against them, but Final Fantasy VII Remake will also feature the presence of Red XIII, the iconic wolf character from the original. Through the official Japanese account, Square Enix has published a new image of the character.

Naoki Hamaguchi, co-director and designer of the combat system, acknowledged that Red XIII will not be playable in this installment. The reason is, basically, that the character joins the staff of protagonists late in the game, it does not offer enough room for him to develop as a fighter. In this way, he will join the fight as a guest protagonist, although the developer has calmed the users and has pointed out that all the mythical techniques will be back.

The quality of secondary missions

The new production focuses on the plot of Midgar, but extends the story with many new features. Thus, the Avalanche characters become important that they did not have in the original game. Tetsuya Nomura, the other director of the video game, has also stated that the secondary missions will have the same quality range as the main ones. In his words, they have preferred to opt for quality rather than quantity.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will go on sale next April 10, after the Japanese decided to delay its launch one month. Once the first installment is marketed, Square Enix will start up and start working on the second part. They have not offered any launch window, the number of episodes that will make up this reimagined version of the saga is not even known. What they have explained is that the development of the successive chapters will not take so much time.
