Final Fantasy VII Remake confirms HDR and 4K resolution on PS4 Pro

The Square Enix title will be playable in up to 1080p on the standard PlayStation 4 model. Preload now available; launching on April 10.

Square Enix has confirmed through social networks that Final Fantasy VII Remake will have 4K resolution on PlayStation 4 Pro and HDR compatibility. This last feature can also be achieved with the standard PS4 model if the TV has HDR output, although the resolution will be, at most, 1080p (Full HD).

The Japanese publisher thus finalizes all the details of a title that will arrive in different versions, depending on the number of extras desired by the user, such as invocation materials, digital soundtrack, etc.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Preload Now Available on PS4

If you are interested in being able to download in advance the more than 100 GB of weight of the title, Square Enix has enabled that from this Friday, April 3, it is possible for all PS4 players to anticipate that download (preload) so that the next 10 April at 00:00 it is possible to start playing without any kind of waiting.

Square Enix has alerted the community that there will be physical format distribution issues for the game in Europe and the United States due to the severity of COVID-19 worldwide. The Japanese publisher has made it clear that there will be no delays, but there will not be enough physical units for everyone given the circumstance. Since some stores are already selling the title, also in Spain, the company requests that no plot shreds be made.
