At least that is what Tetsuya Nomura, director of the reimagined version of the classic, says, which points to more quality rather than more quantity.
Little has been shown of the side quests of Final Fantasy VII Remake, beyond the images shared by the official PlayStation blog. However, Tetsuya Nomura, director of the video game, explained in an interview with Famitsu that the secondary missions will be at the same level as the main ones. According to the creative, at the beginning they planned to add many more, but they realized that they were not able to carry out so many missions satisfactorily.
So, they made the decision to focus on a smaller number of side missions, so they made sure that the ones that reached the final game were of high quality. The director also commented that there will not be too many unpublished characters when it comes to the main cast, but many of the new characters will appear in the side missions. It will be necessary to see to what extent it deepens in those small stories.

The demo, already on PSN
Meanwhile, and to narrow down the wait, it is already possible to download the playable demo of Final Fantasy VII Remake. It should be noted that the progress we make in the demo will not be transferred to the final game, although it allows us to enjoy the first stages of the adventure. Unlike the original work, the remake uses a combat system that combines action and strategy, instead of opting for the system in turn of yesteryear.
Not surprisingly, the Japanese company has specified that it is an evolution of the classic ATB (Active Time Battle) and not a system that spiritually inherits the foundations of the Final Fantasy XIII combat.
Final Fantasy VII Remake will go on sale next April 10 on PlayStation 4. The game has the exclusive temporary Sony for a year, so the future plans have not yet been announced. What is known is that the second part will begin its development right after the publication of the game.
