It is not confirmed that this is a motion capture session for the Square Enix game.
A four hour session. That’s how long Asuka Yoshikawa, the actress who reproduces Aeris’s movements in Final Fantasy VII Remake, has spent in the company of the actor who does the same with Sephiroth. This was revealed in a message published on the social network Twitter, translated into English by Audrey (Aitaikimochi). It should be noted that the information does not specify at any time that it is a recording for the expected second part of the Square Enix title.
“Yesterday I finished a four-hour shoot with the motion capture actor from Sephiroth,” he wrote. “The staff praised us!” He continues, and then points out that he was also going to work on it that day. “Thank you very much for your Christmas messages and for the gifts. I have enjoyed them between recording and recording ”. While Asuka Yoshikawa is Aeris when it comes to her body movement, the voice belongs to Maaya Sakamoto.
FF7R Aerith’s mocap actress did a 4 hour shoot w / Sephiroth’s mocap actor. She writes:
“I finished a 4hr shoot w / Sephiroth’s motion actor yesterday! The staff praised us! I’ll be working today too.
Thanks for your Christmas messages + gifts. I enjoyed them in between shoots. “Pic.twitter.com/LYCkd2A5Hm

Development is going well
Little is known about what Part 2 of Final Fantasy VII Remake will bring us. In a message posted by producer Yoshinori Kitase in Famitsu, he commented that the information will still take “a bit” to come to light, so it will take patience to discover what we Japanese have in store for the future. Kitase, however, is enthusiastic and has stated that development is going well.
Final Fantasy VII Remake went on sale last April 2020, right in the middle of the coronavirus confinement. Square Enix has been less than optimistic about the effects of COVID-19 on the company. While acknowledging that the short-term influence might appear positive, they stressed that they had barely been able to develop during those months of uncertainty. From now on, the company will allow employees to work from home permanently.
