Final Fantasy VII Remake: "The game exceeds my own expectations," says its producer

The new production of Square Enix faces the last weeks before its launch, set for the month of April.

When Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced at E3 2015, many fans of the classic celebrated the announcement, although at that time they did not know that they would have to wait another five years to try it. From that moment, expectations rose in the air, much higher than the vaporous clouds of pollution in Midgar. Yoshinori Kitase, director of the original game and producer of the remake, has stated in an interview with the Official PlayStation Magazine (UK) that his expectations are even higher.

“As a result, the game that is about to be born exceeds even my own expectations, I am the first to express the desire to accept this challenge. In fact, the one who bites his nails for playing the title right now is probably me, ”Kitase acknowledges in the interview.

Many changes

Meanwhile, Square Enix is still working on the video game, which was slightly delayed after the company decided to take extra time to polish the product to the fullest. Be that as it may, the promotional machinery has already started. The company recently showed the complete introduction sequence, which lasts more than five minutes and includes completely unpublished scenes, if we compare them with the original.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is a reimagined version of the classic, which means that new content will be added to the story that will enrich the character's context. On the other hand, the battle system ceases to be in turns and opts for a hybrid that combines action and strategy. In that sense, the video game allows us to interact with the ascendants to tackle the fight against the enemies.

The first part of the remake will go on sale on April 10 on PS4. It is not clear how many episodes will be developed, nor is the business model, which has not been made too clear. The only official thing is that each of the parties will have a complete game entity. The Japanese confirmed that they are already immersed in the development of the next chapter. How far will the first one go? At the moment it is a mystery.
