Final Fantasy VII Remake: the protagonists, gathered in a family photo

Square Enix shares a snapshot in which the main group appears, consisting of Cloud, Tifa, Aeris, Barret and company.

Fighting an evil corporation that aims to enrich itself at the cost of the vital energy of the planet is not a simple task, but the members of the resistance do not hesitate to act. Final Fantasy VII Remake puts on the table the environmentalism of a group of intrepid warriors who raise their weapons against Shinra, a ruthless company that will not hesitate to use every imaginable (and unimaginable) method to achieve its objectives. On the other side of the board, the main group, which is now portrayed in a new capture published by Square Enix.

The reimagined version of the PlayStation classic returns with a face lift that not only implies a change in graphics, but also in the gameplay and development of its history. The episodic format, of which many unknowns have not yet been clarified, implies that in the first installment, the adventure is limited to the part of Midgar. As you can see in the illustration, all the protagonists who meet in the first part of the project are present: Cloud, Barret, Tifa, Aeris and Red XIII, the character that has been shown most recently.

Small delay

The first weeks of 2020 have left us several last minute delays. Square Enix announced that the expected remake would not go on sale on March 3, as planned, although it will not take long, as its new departure date has been set for April 10. Next to him, other projects such as Marvel's Avengers and Cyberpunk 2077 have seen their launch window change, both for September.

Final Fantasy VII Remake, in development for PlayStation 4, will be temporary exclusive to the Sony console for a whole year. In fact, the change in the launch date has also meant that this exclusivity extends for another month, as we reported in FreeGameTips. With that extra time, the Japanese company will try to polish some aspects that still needed a little more work.
