Final Fantasy VII Remake unleashes its spell on new images; Red XIII, Hojo, weapons and more

The new production of Square Enix continues to count the days for its launch, which will take place a month later than expected.

There are only a few months left until Final Fantasy VII Remake opens in stores, so Square Enix has stepped on the accelerator and continues to promote its new title. If only a few days ago a new trailer was shown, now it is the turn of a complete gallery of images, which has been posted on the Official PlayStation Blog. The title shows characters like Red XIII and Hojo, while offering a look at weapons, Tifa's abilities, invasions, etc.

Equip new weapons to the character will be reflected in the visual changes that we will see on the screen. Thus, in one of the captures, we can visualize Cloud with a kind of bat with nails in the hands. As a mercenary, the character will have the opportunity to offer his services to the citizens of Midgar who need it, who will ask for all kinds of tasks: from ending monsters or rescuing some poor helpless cat. In addition, on his journey through the city, he will run into Chadley, a boy of only 15 years of age who works for Professor Hojo. Thanks to your research, we will have access to new subjects, as long as we help you.

As regards the scenarios, among the images that we offer below are the entrails of the Mako reactor, an engineering monster created by Shinra to extract energy from the planet. The PlayStation blog also confirms new locations that were not present in the original video game. Beyond this, the captures introduce Red XIII and let us see other aspects of the game, such as Tifa's abilities or the magical powers of Aeris.

Episodic format

The new Square Enix is focused on the Midgar part, since since its official announcement it was emphasized that it would be an episodic title. As of today, the number of deliveries to be developed has not been revealed, although the second part is already underway. According to the Japanese, the rest of the productions will take place in a shorter period of time. The reason? That they already have the resources and assets, so that they do not start from scratch.

Final Fantasy VII Remake was scheduled for March 3, but Square Enix announced that it needed more time to polish the gaming experience. Thus, the classic refurbished will arrive at stores with a small delay, since it will be available on PlayStation 4 on April 4. The exclusivity with the Sony console will extend for a year from that date.
