A terrible accident has happened on The Platform, one of the new locations for Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass Season 2.
Fortnite Battle Royale patch 12.20 has brought an interesting change to the map. The Platform, one of the new locations for Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass Season 2, has been partially destroyed, causing a huge oil spill. We tell you everything you should know about it below:

The Platform was, along with The Shark, The Yacht, The Agency, and The Grotto, one of the new named locations added to the Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass Season 2 map. It is located in Quadrant B7. It is a den of minions, in which in the standard game modes (Solitaire, Duets and Squadrons) we can find these enemies controlled by the AI, and their boss, TNTina.
With the arrival of patch 12.20 at Fortnite Battle Royale on March 17, 2020, this area has changed radically. Some type of industrial accident has occurred, which has caused several sections of this area to have been sunk.
The Platform has been almost completely destroyed
Apparently, the central tower, which is where the drilling machinery is, has exploded, which has shattered the entire structure. We can see how there are several boats in this part of La Plataforma, trying to fix this mess:

Fortunately, critical structures in the area such as the vault are still intact, and its content can still be accessed, assuming we remove TNTina and remove its access card:

The explosion has not affected another area of interest such as the heliport, where we can now find one of the new Choppa helicopters since patch 12.20:

The spill is so large that it appears even in the latest map update. Before there was some oil in it, although it was not as evident as now:
