Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, titled “Runners,” will debut on June 6 2026, featuring the long‑awaited return of Sprites.
Dark Voyager Sprite hidden in the new logo
The promotional artwork posted on Fortnite’s official channels displays the season’s logo, but a closer look reveals a discreet Dark Voyager Sprite embedded within the typography. This subtle inclusion verifies that the beloved Chapter 6 Season 1 mechanic is slated to reappear.
Sprites revived with new abilities
Sprites, the quirky companion creatures that granted players temporary buffs, vanished after Chapter 7 began. Their comeback promises the same utility, recalling variants such as the Superman Sprite introduced in Chapter 6 Season 3. The teaser’s warm colour palette also suggests a tropical aesthetic for the upcoming map changes.
Launch timing and map overhaul
Following the “Shattered” live event, Fortnite’s servers will enter downtime before the season launch, indicating substantial alterations to the Chapter 7 island. The combination of the hidden Sprite, the tropical visual cues, and the timing after a major live event points to one of the most significant updates the Battle Royale has seen in this chapter.
Fans can now anticipate not only the nostalgic Sprite mechanics but also a potentially dramatic reshaping of the playground, all set to roll out on June 6.
