Golden objects have begun to appear all over Fortnite Battle Royale Island. Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 2 will begin very soon.

Season 1 of the Fortnite Battle Pass Chapter 2 has the days counted, as Season 2 will begin on February 20. Although at the time we wrote this news we do not know if there will be an end-of-season event, we inform you that gold objects have begun to appear throughout the island of Fortnite. We tell you everything below:

The first time that gold objects were known to exist in the game was thanks to the work of data miners such as lucas7yoshi, who discovered these elements among the files added in patch 11.50 of Fortnite Chapter 2:

The first sightings of these objects have taken place from February 16, as we can see in this tweet from the HYPEX user, also a data miner from Fortnite Battle Royale:

This day, precisely, have begun to appear several teasers with the logo of the game in cities such as São Paulo or Tokyo. We still don't know what exactly these golden objects have, although, considering the precedents, we are inclined to think that they are clues and subtle changes in the face of the hypothetical end-of-season event, of which there is nothing announced yet.

Nor do we know if these objects appear randomly, or if they are in specific locations on the huge island of Fortnite Battle Royale. As we can see in another user's tweet, a document has appeared on top of a gold toilet:

One of the most popular theories among the Fortnite community is that gold would be a new type of building material, much more durable than metal (which is, to date, the hardest building material in the game) . Although, as we say, this is only conjecture, and there is nothing confirmed.

We will expand this news as soon as we know more about it.

UPDATE 02/16/2020 16:25. We have found several of these objects in one of the buildings of Isla Ojo, in quadrant E4 of the map:

For now we know that by hitting them with the beak, we collect metal, so that the theory that gold is a new material is ruled out.
