When does Season 4 of Fortnite Chapter 2 start?

Season 4 of the Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass will begin on August 27

Season 4 of Fortnite Chapter 2 will begin on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at a time to be determined. Fortnite is expected to be inactive for a few hours, during which time this video game will be under maintenance, and patch 14.00 will have to be downloaded to update it.

Fortnite x Marvel: first official image of Season 4 of Fortnite Chapter 2

On August 21, Epic Games revealed that Season 4 of the Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass will be Marvel-themed.

Expect to see Marvel characters both in this new season’s Battle Pass, as well as in the game’s daily turkey shop.

First leaks of Season 4 of Fortnite Chapter 2

Dataminers are fuming these days, leaking all kinds of inside information from Season 4 of the Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass. One of the most reliable, HYPEX, claims all of the following about this new season:

  • Thor and the hammer Mjolnir will be cosmetic items (a skin and a pickaxe, respectively).
  • There will be a Marvel / Thor map location
  • There will be a Wolverine / Wolverine skin
  • Epic had a Banana skin concept with Wolverine claws in mind
  • There will be comic pages that we will find on stage

According to another dataminer, Tabor Hill, Storm, from the X-Men, will be a skin from Season 4.

On August 22, both the Thor comic and the background music when reading it were decrypted in the game files.

Prelude to Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass Season 4

At 4:00 p.m. CEST on August 22, the comic was activated in the Battle Pass tab, which tells the story before Season 4 of the Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass:

Part 1: Galactus arrives in Asgard to warn Thor that he must consume five special planets to gain enough strength to stop Black Winter: the death of all things. Thor and Galactus set out in search of these planets, but after consuming one of them, Galactus is distracted by an anomaly in space, and leaves behind her. Thor seeks help. After this, a crack appears on Spiteful Corner.

Part 2: Thor arrives at “The Island, near Zero”. Thor meets Kit and Shining Bomber; He tells them that he is coming in peace, but the inhabitants of the island prepare for battle against the God of Thunder. Jonesy shoots a tactical shotgun at Thor and knocks him down.

Part 3: Thor defends himself against his attackers: Jonesy, Banano and Cuervo. The island is draining Thor of strength, and also causes him to lose his memory. Finally, Thor loses his hammer, and it falls with force, causing a crater.
