Fortnite: snow covers the entire map for Christmas

Fortnite: snow covers the entire map for Christmas

We show you how the map of Fortnite Chapter 2 looked after being completely covered with snow. Christmas comes to the island of Fortnite Battle Royale.

On December 25 the snow completely covered the island of Fortnite Battle Royale. This aesthetic change of the map is part of the Winter Festival 2019 event, belonging to Season 1 of the Fortnite Battle Pass Chapter 2. Here we show you how the snowy scenario has been:

Fortnite: this is the snow-covered island completely

On the occasion of Christmas celebration, Fortnite Battle Royale Island has been completely covered with snow. To the Winter Festival 2019 event, which provides us with gifts of all kinds on a daily basis (including the Christmas Lieutenant skin) this seasonal change is added. In the days before this modification, the snow had already reached the map, although not at this scale.

The snow reaches every corner of the island

Here is an image of the map of the island on 12/25/2019, so you can see that, indeed, the snow has ended up engulfing each and every one of the areas of the stage, including some more “summer” like Burning Sands :

This change in the scenario, although aesthetic, can vary significantly the game, especially depending on the skin or character aspect we use. That is, it will not be the same to play with characters in white attire, who will camouflage themselves much better in the snow, than with, for example, John Wick, who is all dressed in black.

This change in the scenario occurs in all game modes, both in the Standard and Solitaire, Duos and Squadrons as in MTL (Limited Time Modes) as the eternal Team Fight.

We do not know how long the island will be in this state, although we can assume that, as previously happened (last year, without going any further), the snow returns to its previous state after Christmas Day.
