The Fortnite Battle Royale storm began to behave strangely after the arrival of patch 12.61. Is it a mistake, or is it part of the story?
The arrival of patch 12.61 on Fortnite on May 26, 2020 not only brought new content and various bug fixes to the game, it also caused the storm to start behaving strangely and erratically. However, it is not a bug, but has to do with the plot of Season 2 of the Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass, which is about to end. We tell you everything below:
Fortnite: the storm behaves strangely after patch 12.61
The Storm in Fortnite Battle Royale is the main danger in every game. Determine which area of the game is safe, and in which we receive continued damage over time. We must avoid it at all costs if we do not want it to consume us and end up killing us.
We witness how the storm approaches
Its behavior is simple: when we enter a game of Fortnite Battle Royale, a huge circle will mark the safe area, in which we will not suffer damage from the Storm. As the game progresses, the circle will be smaller, and will change places, forcing players to advance.
However, all of this has changed after the arrival of patch 12.61 in Fortnite Battle Royale. When entering a game after this content update has been applied to the game, we can see results such as the following:

Indeed, that a circle is so large that it covers practically the entire map and does not fit in it is not normal. However, we have found that this only happens in casual game modes: Solitaire, Duets, and Squads. It doesn't happen on competitive playlists like Arena Solo and Arena Duos.

From this we deduce that this is not a game bug, but rather something intentional that has to do with the story of Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 2. As you know, Midas has created a Device of Final Judgment in The Agency. Using this machine, your goal is to stop the Storm. And, for now, it seems to be on the right track.

Activating the Last Judgment Device will have consequences that will change the island completely. We will have to wait until Saturday May 30 to be able to check it in-game.
