Midas’s plan goes wrong, and the island of Fortnite Battle Royale is flooded with a huge tsunami. This is what has happened after the event The Device.
The Fortnite Device event was held on June 15, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time). In it, Midas’s original plan, one of the characters, was to prevent the Storm from engulfing the island of Fortnite Battle Royale. But something went wrong, and the island is now caught in a flood loop. This is all that has happened after this Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass Season 2 event:
Fortnite: the sea replaces the Storm
The story of Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass Season 2 ended with the Device event, held on June 15, 2020. Midas’s plan was to stop the Storm, and to do so he activated an artifact called “Device of the Last Judgment “. However, during activation, something went wrong, and although it managed to destroy the Storm, it is now the ocean / sea that behaves identically. In its wake it leaves quite interesting new lighting effects. We leave you the full video of the event below:
Be careful, its behavior is similar, although not equivalent. Now, in games, instead of having to flee from the storm, we have to flee from the huge tsunami that is coming upon us:
The tsunami lurks at the start of each game
As we say, the sea does not behave the same as the Storm. We can dive in it, although we will lose health. Also, if it touches us while we are at ground level, it will push us slightly.
We dive in the ocean
Another interesting feature of this new “storm” is the fact that, if we go in Choppa and it reaches us, it will expel us from the vehicle, and we will die from fall damage if we were at a great height. However, if we enter the storm above sea level, we will take damage, as usual.
This is what happens with the new storm / tsunami in # FortniteChapter2:

This will be the status of Fortnite Battle Royale until at least Wednesday, June 17, as that is when Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass Season 3 is scheduled to begin. The behavior of this “new storm” could change then. In any case, in Meristation, as always, we will keep you informed about any news in this regard.
