Lucas7yoshi, one of the most recognized and renowned dataminers / data miners in the Fortnite Battle Royale community, is carrying out a most curious project for the Epic Games video game. These are heat maps that determine which are the areas with the most deaths in Season 5 of the Battle Pass of Fortnite Chapter 2. We tell you just below:

As we have mentioned before, as part of a personal project, lucas7yoshi is creating a series of heat maps that determine which areas of the game are killed and killed the most, thanks to data sent by players. According to him, this image would correspond to the areas with the most deaths on the entire island:

Understanding these data is very simple: areas where there are deaths are considered “hot” (red tones); the more deaths in the same place, the more red tones. With this in mind, we see how most of the Fortnite Season 5 kills occur at named locations on the map. It makes sense, because there is more loot here both on the ground and in the chests in the area. Within these areas, the areas where there are more deaths, from more to less, are Torres Saladas, Pools Dormant, and Pleasant Park. Again, this is right: in addition to being large locations, they are relatively close to center stage, which increases the chances of players landing in these areas.

Last but not least, lucas7yoshi has noticed a very interesting anomaly: around the island there is a “circle of deaths”, which would correspond to all the points where all possible routes of the battle bus automatically eject to the players:

In other words: here the players die who are “AFK” (“away from keyboard”, literally “away from the keyboard”; an expression used on the internet for players absent from their controller / keyboard and whose in-game avatars are, therefore, be still).

This data sample is not from the entire player count of Season 5 of the Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass; As we say, it is a personal experiment / project that this dataminer is carrying out with repetitions sent by players, so the result of it may vary with respect to the real experience of the game.
