Microsoft offers the first two installments of the saga completely free on Xbox 360 and Xbox One thanks to the improved backwards compatibility.
Microsoft also offers free games during the coronavirus quarantine. The North American company is giving away the first two installments of Crackdown free of charge to everyone without any conditions or restrictions: it is only necessary to have an Xbox console.

The original Xbox 360 Crackdown, released in 2009, can be played with an improved look thanks to the backward compatibility of Xbox One on any of its models; in fact, on Xbox One X it not only improves its visual aspect (4K) even more it seems practically a remastering but also in performance of the title.
Regarding whether it is a temporary or permanent trial, this download is forever and does not depend on subscriptions: it is one hundred percent free. The game license is added to our user account and we can download it whenever we want even if we replace our Xbox One with another.
