Game Press publisher presents The Book of Graphic Adventures

This volume is entirely dedicated to the point and click genre, which explores all its ins and outs in its almost 200 pages.

The Graphic Adventures book is the new volume published by Game Press, a self-produced book dedicated to the point and click genre, all under the guidelines of its Legends label. Anyone who wants to get a copy can now get it, as it is available from December 18. Additionally, the Deluxe Edition, which includes two bookmarks and four featured title cards, is still available for pre-order, but only until December 23.

In a press release, they explained that the authors investigate in depth about the origin of the genre, with reports from the most important developers and distributors, as well as biographies and interviews with the most prominent protagonists. There is also room to stop at the section dedicated to the famous copy protections that many adventure games used to include.

Past and current games

Among the interviews available are those of Al Lowe, David Fox, Ramón Hernáez (Pendulo Studios), Juanan and Toni Pascual (Nexus Game Studios / Nuclear Tales). On the other hand, the work is introduced by the founder of Killmonday Games and the creator of Fran Bow. The Graphic Adventures book not only focuses on the most classic video games of the past, but also uncovers more current productions, since the genre continues to offer new games. The different video games are arranged according to the different eras and introduces products such as The Secret of Monkey Island, King’s Quest, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Day of the Tentacle, Simon the Sorcerer, The Blackwell Legaly, etc., until reach the total number of 123 titles analyzed.

Authors such as Raúl Muñoz (from Agoty and Pixelsmansion), the trio Carlos Climent, Jordi Marsal and René Hernández (from Game Museum) and Daniel Tortajada, who have invested more than three years of hard work and research, participate in this volume.
