Gamelab Live 2020: Phil Spencer, keynote star guest

This year the Barcelona video game fair will be in digital format, but free and with figures of the caliber of Phil Spencer, Amy Henning, Tim Schafer and Ken Levine.

Although this year we run out of face-to-face edition due to the coronavirus, the Gamelab 2020 is still running and it seems that with more desire and energy than ever. The most prestigious video game fair in our country, which is held every year around this time in Barcelona, ​​will open its doors to the digital format and will host between 23 and 25 June all kinds of talks and events with some of the most brilliant minds and important in this industry. A good example of this is that the central keynote of the event will be invited by Phil Spencer, head of Xbox. We also remind you that in this edition it will be enough to register on the web to gain free access to most of the panels, which will be broadcast live on the internet.

Agenda and invited speakers

Speakers already confirmed for Gamelab Live 2020 include figures of importance from Amy Henning (director and screenwriter of the Uncharted saga), Tim Schafer (founder of Double Fine), Ken Levine (creator of BioShock), Shawn Layden (ex- president of Sony Worldwide Studios) or Mike Pondsmith (author of Cyberpunk 2020), among many others. As if that were not enough, the speakers will often be accompanied by the fair’s advisory council, which includes people like Ian Livingstone (president for life of Square Enix) or Mark Cerny (the architect of PS4 and PS5). All of them will offer “live talks, workshops and networking for professionals, as well as panel discussions that will explore the value and potential of the video game in our society, in our culture and in our economy.”
