The acclaimed Boneloaf multiplayer title comes in physical format to Spain for PS4 and Xbox One thanks to Meridiem Games (now available in digital).
Gang Beasts, the multiplayer title from Boneloaf that came out in summer 2014, arrives in physical format this December 6 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (also available on PC, digital) thanks to Meridiem Games (who brought us others works in physical format such as Deadly Premonition Origins, for Switch). It can be purchased for a reduced price of € 24.95 and contains some extras such as costume packs to customize our characters in the game. In case you don't know Gang Beasts or want to remember what it is about, here are the main features of this title and the reason for its success.
A crazy game to enjoy in company
On the occasion of the launch of Gang Beasts in physical format, we went to the PlayStation Showroom in order to throw a few games with colleagues in the sector. Just by putting ourselves in command and trying a couple of battles we can already see how the title maintains its spirit and remains as fun as it was at its launch, years ago.
His approach is very simple: we embody characters with looks and gelatinous movements that are in the colorful city of Urbe Urbe, where they meet to fight and be the last one standing. In Gang Beasts we can play in local mode with up to 4 players and the number is expanded up to 8 players in the case of the online game.
Since we entered the game, the simplicity and accessibility they present are key. Through intuitive menus we can access the various game modes present (an example is one of football, in which the goal is to score goals in the goal of the opposite color team). The main way, and by which the title at hand is recognized, is that of fights.
There are a large number of scenarios ranging from two trucks running to subway tracks, a fighting ring, a ferris wheel and an incinerator, among many others. It is worth visiting them all in order to discover what is the best way to throw our friends (or enemies) into the void and rise with victory.
To do this we have a range of simple but effective movements that range from grips to headers and jumps. In the beginning it can cost us to catch the quiet, but soon we will understand how to combine movements and attacks in the most effective way to surprise the rest of the players and make a feint with which to dodge their heads, grab us on the edge of a certain surface with so as not to fall and lose or just run around the stage and run away from others with the mission of weakening each other.
As you can see, each game is different and depends entirely on the players. Precisely for this reason, coupled with the visual appeal of the game, it triumphed to a large extent among the community of youtubers and streamers. This caused the popularity of the game to skyrocket and many players immediately recognize the colorful characters of Gang Beasts, whether or not they played the title.
On the other hand, the characters available in the game are highly customizable. We can put various costumes among which we find animal costumes, hats, beards, Rick and Morty's custom skins and more. The color of the doll is somewhat random, since they are distributed among the players that are in game.
All this makes Gang Beasts a very attractive title to play in company or alone with the online mode activated. In this regard we must point out that some of the negative points that users leave in the reviews of the Steam version are focused on the lag there were sometimes, on the slowness of the arrival of some updates and the fact that the Long can be done something repetitive.
Even so, there is nothing better than forming our own opinion. From this December 6 we can do it in physical format in addition to the digital one, at which time the versions of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be available to be played from the disc. Gang Beasts returns to remind us that there are titles that never lose their spark and that no matter how many years go by they continue to be part of a good plan to spend the afternoon surrounded by good company and many laughs.
In another order of things, we remember that PS4 and Xbox One will also receive the acclaimed Untitled Goose Game soon. Of course, it will be in digital format and at the moment we have no news that the physicist will arrive.
