Meristation had an opportunity to be on this call asking the following:

How far does Ghost of Tsushima push the console hardware to the limit?

JC = I do not have net numbers about how much we use the capacity of the console, but if I can tell you that being one of the first studios to work with the PlayStation 4, occasionally with Infamous: Second Son we were able to explore all the effects such as that of light, particles and rendering to apply it to the engine. This represented an advantage when developing this video game, for example, particles played a fundamental role in Second Son to make it beautiful, now we use and perfect these techniques to make the world of Ghost of Tushima look alive, realistic and huge, We can see this in the wind. All these particle effects have been applied to make the world more credible, this will also be seen when rolling on the ground, since our character will fill with dust and if we put it in the water those particles will go away. On the other hand, you will see thousands of birds in the world and this in itself is particles.

Can you tell us what extent in kilometers the map will have?

JC = I do not have the exact data on how much it measures, but I can tell you that it is the most ambitious that we have created for many things such as history, art and size. We created a game with multiple styles of gameplay for people, because maybe some want to play like Samurai and others just want to take a walk and enjoy it. This is because there are players who simply just want to dedicate themselves to the unexplored story and that may make the game a bit shorter, but in the same way there may be others who say “the story is amazing, but I want to go see the world, explore and find the secrets ”, then these ways of playing may be polarized. We tested the game for a long time with several people and we noticed that it can take between 5 or 6 days and they may not finish it for everything they can find and enjoy on the way.

Will we lose objects when we die?

JC = No, they will only return them a little or maybe at a check point if that is the case. We will not penalize inventory if defeated.
