Gio Corsi, head of the second party playground, leaves Sony

Although not as media-like as other leaders, Gio Corsi leaves the company weeks after Shawn Layden, head of Sony's studies, did.

Gio Corsi leaves Sony Interactive Entertainment. So far the head of the company's second party video games has announced in a statement his decision to leave his post. "It was an incredible trip, but last week was my last on the PlayStation," he explained in the note. “I'm going to take some time off, but I will return to the games very soon. I am extremely proud of all the awesome things we have achieved. Much love to all those of the past or present who have made my time here truly special. ”

Thanks to everyone

Then the moment of thanks has arrived. “I give a cordial thanks to all the great developers, publishers, partners, friends and fans who have made my time on PlayStation so memorable … so many good times. From games, to all events, as I say, it has been a spectacular journey! Thank you all and long live Vita!

Some of the heavyweights of the company, such as Shuhei Yoshida or Shawn Layden, have not been left out. The latter, curiously, left his post as president of SIE Worldwide Studios immediately and after more than thirty years in the Japanese company. Sony announced it through the social networks of PlayStation: “We are very excited to announce that the head of Worldwide Studios, Shawn Layden, will leave SIE. He will miss his visionary leadership. We wish you every success in your future endeavors; We are deeply grateful for your years of service. Thanks for everything, Shawn! ”

Sony Interactive Entertainment is preparing, meanwhile, for the generational relay. In just over a year, PlayStation 5 will see the light, so all previous work is already underway for a while. One of Shawn Layden's latest services was to announce the purchase agreement for Insomniac Games.
