The current EVO champion takes the Red Bull Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour played in Paris in the middle of an environment that has been pure Dragon Ball.

It was a final as atypical as spectacular that, yes, took the favorite: Go1.
Go1 nailed a perfect and everyone thought it would be a ride. There are times when the Japanese seems invincible, with an unbeatable team and a seamless defense. But if Paris knew something, it was that Fenritti was the only one who knew him enough to overcome it. And the answer was more unexpected than seeing a perfect in some finals: another perfect. 1-1. This, in addition, had an aged flavor, with a Cell and a Vegeta SSJ that were the kings during the first year of the game, and now few are saved in the hands of a Fenritti that squeezes the maximum possible damage on each occasion. The rebirth of Cell and Vegeta before the God of Destruction
Every 2H of Cell resonates as a kick to all those who believe that the game is only viable with the usual characters. He was one of these patadones in a GT air-dash when he pressed on the corner that he gave 1-2 to Fenritti, taking off the pressure, killing GT in the combo and then finishing off the third Go1 character. The restart of the final was near.
Go1 did not get nervous. Where Cell extended his combos with the invaluable help of Vegeta's assist (They said it would never be useful!), Goku GT did what he knows, generated impotence; and Bardock, the usual with Go1: take advantage of every hole to damage everything you can. Go1 took it after some surprising error from Fenritti. There was one last match left, and there the EVO champion showed his level, dominating clearly, killing a character and a half of Fenritti with almost no damage. There was a small moment for hope: Go1 failed a TOD and took advantage of Fenritti to flip the game … But GT appeared again. Combo, Genkidama, Dragon Rush and three levels 1 to leave Fenritti alone with Vegeta. I no longer had anything to do. Go1 is the God of Destruction in FighterZ. We will see in the third season.
On the way there was a Tachikawa that got top 8 coming from the LCQ, a Deskillage that had it close but could not contain the tears after falling with Fenritti in the final of losers and others in the Top 8: Matoi, Maddo,
Competitive + Dragon Ball: a staging of another level
With Dragon Ball everything is more special. The staging in Paris by the hand of Red Bull is another story. The setup, like the Tournament of Power. On all four sides, canvases that recreated scenarios. When the players came in, the soundtrack of the series (thank God he has recovered for video games for a while now). When a character prepares the Genkidama, the entire audience raises their hands. When Gohan transforms, everyone shouts with him. When Cell shrieks, the whole scenario falls. And in the videos, sequences of Goku and Jiren fighting in the anime, as a prelude to the announcement that came from season 3. The champion Go1 invokes the dragon at the end, which appears on all screens, to give way to the trailer of new characters .

FighterZ is pure Dragon Ball, and the World Tour has managed to move it in situ. Being able to live competitions with the series we grew up with seemed like a chimera not so long ago. Specifically, before 2018. And the story of FighterZ itself will continue with what is to come. In fact, it is so Dragon Ball that in the same way that the story of Goku and Vegeta is not over, that of Go1 and SonicFox is yet to be written.
