There is no one to stop the work of Rockstar Games. More than seven years have passed since GTA 5 debuted on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but the title continues to work in the market, to the point that it is common to see it at the top of the sales charts. This is the case in May 2020 according to the figures handled by AEVI (provided by Games Sales Data). According to the list, the title of the also creators of Red Dead Redemption 2 – it has also slipped among the best sellers – leads the ranking in Spain. The specific data is not offered, but it must be borne in mind that these lists are configured taking into account exclusively the sales of physical copies, so the scenario could change if the units sold in digital format were computed.
In addition to GTA 5, there are products that enter and others that are consolidated despite the passage of time. Games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition (released in late May), or Minecraft Dungeons appear on the list. For its part, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or Marvel’s Spider-Man are some of the veteran products that slip into the Top 10.
