Guerrilla Games (Horizon: Zero Dawn) seeks creatives with multiplayer experience

The parents of the successful exclusive PS4 video game are working on a new open-world project that doesn't have details yet.

Guerrilla Games is working on its next video game after the success of Horizon: Zero Dawn for PS4; We now know that the Dutch study is in the active search of a creative expert in the design of experiences with multiplayer component.

According to the official website of the study, a subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment and with more than 200 employees, they have new job vacancies with different requirements. The latter is striking, that of an expert in multiplayer works, an absent component in Horizon: Zero Dawn.

If we stick to the information, there is something we can confirm: the new Guerrilla is "an epic open world." The postulate chosen or chosen in another of the vacancies offered will be responsible for developing “medium and close distance weapons, combat mechanics, player skills, damage and impact response, camera, inventory and economy system”; preferably, with experience in "multiplayer" modes.

What is not confirmed and is the focus of speculation

And here comes the information. In forums like Reddit, which has echoed in the first place the existence of this new job offer at Guerrilla Games, it is beginning to speculate on three things: the first, that this new video game has an integrated multiplayer mode (what which is suggested, but not expressly confirmed by those in Amsterdam); the second, that a hypothetical Horizon: Zero Dawn 2 has multiplayer mode. The latter is a double unconfirmed bet, since Sony Computer Entertainment has not slipped, much less confirmed, the existence of a new delivery of this new IP of great success; It has sold more than 10 million units worldwide.

The third and final possibility is that it is either a new intellectual property or a new iteration of the Killzone saga, whose last installment dates back to the end of 2013 on the occasion of the sale of PlayStation 4, Killzone: Shadow Fall, whose criticisms were disparate.

We will update as soon as we know what Guerrilla Games is up to. Sony's future is already known: PlayStation 5. The new Sony console already has a logo and launch window, Christmas 2020.
