Guilty Gear Strive is delayed to June 2021; official statement

Guilty Gear Strive Open Beta will take place in mid-February

Arc System Works announces that the game will not finally be released on April 9, as planned; it also affects the Deluxe and Ultimate editions.

Guilty Gear Strive is delayed to June 11, 2021. Arc System Works has issued an official statement to indicate that the video game, scheduled for PS5, PS4 and PC (via Steam) this coming April 9 will finally be postponed for a couple of more months. . The Japanese company extends this delay to all versions and editions, which inevitably implies a date change in the celebration of the three days of early access; now scheduled to begin June 8.

The new iteration of the veteran fighting saga of the studio responsible for BlazBlue or Dragon Ball FighterZ has regretted the news, but they claim to need that extra time to be able to offer the best possible experience at the controls. “We have made the difficult decision to change the release date of Guilty Gear Strive (previously scheduled for April 9, 2021) to June 11, 2021,” they begin by saying.

“Having received valuable feedback after the Open Beta Test, we would like to make the most of this opportunity to offer the best possible game. We need more time to polish some aspects of the game, such as online lobbies and server stability ”, much celebrated among those who played this beta.

Finally, Arc System Works believes that to offer “a better experience for all players” it is necessary that they have those additional weeks; on many defining occasions for the future of the projects.

A very promising rollback system; great sensations with Guilty Gear Strive

From FreeGameTips we are delighted with these new sessions of the Guilty Gear Strive beta, which have little to do with the initials from long ago. Its rollback system to definitively end lag in online games has amazed us; and it opens the doors to setting a very positive precedent in the genre of two-dimensional fighting.

Guilty Gear Strive will go on sale – localized to Spanish – this June 11 on PS4, PS5 and PC through Steam; distribution is handled in Europe by Bandai Namco.
