Halo Infinite does not suspend its development by the coronavirus; 343 find alternatives

The development team updates its official blog and reflects on the current circumstances, dictated by actions against COVID-19.

Studies, like many other sectors of society, have had to adapt rapidly to the changes that are taking place with the expansion of the coronavirus epidemic (COVID-19). For weeks, companies have been taking action on it, something 343 Industries, the studio behind Halo Infinite, has also done. The company has confirmed through its official blog that development continues, albeit with new challenges.

“As the situation began to get worse in our area, two weeks ago, those responsible for Microsoft and 343 gave us instructions to work from home. Taking into account that safety is the most important thing during a stage like this, they gave us the advice to work at home from then on, ”they say at the entrance.

But the study clarifies: "It is not a vacation." The entire team has adapted with the aim of giving everything outside the studio. "Both the 343 and Microsoft leadership teams have provided constant updates on how the COVID-19 situation is progressing, how our projects are progressing, and the best recommendations for staying safe during these unprecedented times."

Halo's future

343 Industries has been working on Halo Infinite for years, a project that will be compatible with both the new and the current generation of consoles. However, the Master Chief will return with a new graphics engine, designed to adapt to the times. At the same time, developers continue to profile the PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which they are releasing in stages. The first to arrive was Halo Reach, while the second was Halo: Combat Evolved, the first installment in the series. Therefore, there is a franchise for a while.

Halo Infinite is slated for later this year on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. They have not yet announced a more specific date.
