The latest Halo Waypoint blog post provides updates on the world of the game, in development for Xbox and PC scheduled for this fall.
Halo Infinite will feature an “incredibly large” world in which we can feel “freer than ever” with our Spartan. The 343 Industries video game, the most important Xbox Game Studios production of 2021, has been the protagonist in the latest Halo Waypoint blog post, of which we have had new high-quality captures. As explained, the scale of the project is gaining in size and possibilities, all this placing the user as the angular axis of the gameplay.
“You have more freedom than ever to choose your path in the world”
Joseph Staten, Head of Creative at Halo Infinite, accompanied by other members of the North American study, have been forceful in defining the status of the project, whose year of delay with respect to the initially scheduled date is allowing them to materialize with greater guarantee what they thought on paper.

“It’s the most open and adventurous Halo game of all time. It’s the Halo game we’ve been dreaming of making 20 years ago. And we are eager for you to explore it ”, they begin by saying. “We are tearing down walls to create an open play space capable of exploration and discovery,” adds John Mulkey, lead designer of the Halo Infinite world. “There are complete stories to discover,” they insist. “I often describe the experience that Zeta Halo offers [el mundo del juego] like ‘Halo Unleashed’ because it’s all the Halo experiences and stories you love presented in a world where you have much more freedom to explore and discover unexpected adventures. “
The difference with previous Halo worlds is that this time “you have more freedom than ever to choose your path in the world” of Infinite, Zeta Halo. “Chase hidden caves to a protected fortress, roll your Warthog through a mist-filled mountain pass, capture a Banshee, and fly into a floating ring fragment through a space of stars,” they exemplify. The vision Staten had twenty years ago, now embodied in a title that seeks to be true to its name.
