Halo Infinite will feature a new vehicle damage system; more details

Halo Infinite will make vehicles have a greater range of strategies; 343 Industries shares new details of the playable schematic and hook.

343 Industries shares details about the playable scheme for Halo Infinite. The return of the Master Chief, delayed until sometime next fall, will feature a new vehicle damage system that will allow for “greater strategy.”

What does it consist of? As we can extract, the damage will be more localized in the different vital parts of a vehicle, instead of being a large box of accumulation damage. The company has put “greater effort” in making the system responsive, that is, that it has a dynamic impact on the way of controlling them. The example they give is being able to burst the wheel of a Warthog, which will make it more difficult for us to control it.

The possibilities of the hook: essential in Halo Infinite

As we could see in its first playable section, the hook plays a fairly relevant role in the Sandbox section of Halo Infinite. It will serve for more than just being an element that provides greater mobility to the character. With it we can attract weapons from a distance towards us. On the other hand, it can also be used to steal a Banshee out of the air. Although they say “not be easy”, the mechanics are there for you to manipulate as you wish according to your ability.

Regarding weapons, 343 Industries wants “each weapon to have a specific role.” It really is something the saga had already shown: a plasma pistol served to lower fast shields, while in Halo 3 the initial purpose of the battle rifle (BR) was to unzoom enemy snipers. From what it seems, that structure in terms of design will have even more strength.

During the post-launch roadmap, new weapons and other classic versions of previous installments will be added. We don’t know if Halo 2’s battle rifle, shown in one of the trailers, will make its debut from day one. Click on this link to know everything that could be extracted from the first playable video.
