The Japanese creative has commented at PAX East that he is the first one who wants to work with those names again; but it depends on Capcom.
Hideki Kamiya, one of Bayonetta's parents, Devil May Cry or The Wonderful 101, has recognized during the PAX East 2020 that is being held in Boston, Massachusetts, that he would love to see sagas like Okami and Viewtiful Joe back through new deliveries; although this is something that depends on Capcom.
Kamiya, who left Capcom and Clover Studio to set up Platinum Games, is now immersed in the launch of The Wonderful 101: Remastered, Bayonetta 3 and the recently announced Project G.G, which will end the "hero" trilogy. That is not an obstacle for him to think beyond and, as he has not hesitated to say on more than one occasion, to dream of an eventual return of those licenses.
Hideki Kamiya was asked if he wants to revisit some old IPs / failed IPs (person brought up Okami 2 and SC) and answered:
"Okami 2 .. Scalebound .. Viewtiful Joe 3 .. Dante VS Bayonetta .. Devil May Cry 0 .. I want to make everything! ..Please email Capcom" # PAXEast2020 pic.twitter.com/iq3TXYTuYQ

However, for all that to happen, it is necessary for Capcom to take a step forward; In fact, he has joked with encouraging fans to write to the Japanese giant to make that happen.
“Okami 2, Scalebound, Viewtiful Joe 3, Dante vs. Bayonetta, Devil May Cry 0 … I would like to do it all! Write to Capcom, please! ” commented.
Viewtiful Joe
Kamiya assumes he rushed to talk about a sequel
Apart from these statements, Kamiya has recognized in a meeting with GameXplain that it was too blunt last October, when he dropped that Okami was coming back soon with a sequel. Now he has clarified that it is not so, that it is not something that depends strictly on his will and, most importantly: it is an intellectual property held by Capcom, so it is the Osaka company that has the last word.
However, after receiving a large capital investment from Tencent Holdings, Platinum Games published a mysterious website called Platinum 4 of which we already know three projects of the four expected: The Wonderful 101, Project G.G. and the new studio based in Tokyo. Apart from this, Platinum currently works in the orders of Square Enix (Babylon’s Fall) and Nintendo (Bayonetta 3).
