Supermassive Games confirms its third chapter of The Dark Pictures Anthology. House of Ashes will arrive in 2021. Little Hope contains its first trailer.
Supermassive Games announces the third chapter of its The Dark Pictures Anthology. Under the nickname House of Ashes, the company repeats the confirmation process they already did with Little Hope; the new trailer is part of the final moments of his latest work.
Thanks to YouTube user Terarded, we can see a preview of just 50 seconds. The teaser begins with a group of military helicopters approaching an unknown location. “Do you believe in God?” A voice snaps. A fade to black gives way to several soldiers firing; one of them narrates that they are under attack from something they don’t know what it is. The image changes again to put the foreground of a woman from behind. Something happens.
House of Ashes has not confirmed at this time on which platforms it will see the light, although it has already set its launch frame: 2021. You can see the trailer below.
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope Out Now
Little Hope, the second chapter in the Supermassive Games anthology, is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In FreeGameTips it received a score of 7.7 out of 10. Our colleague César Otero explains that the studio seems to be more comfortable “telling the story, and they achieve moments of genuine terror and a tense atmosphere.” However, at the playable level “there is practically nothing new”, except for the warnings on the screen when QTEs are going to happen. “The game is short by the standards, but it is a terrifying and intense journey between specters and witches along with replayability and priceless co-op and multi modes.”
In the comparison with Man of Medan, his previous project, César is clear: “If you did not like Man of Medan or if this type of gameplays and gameplay are not your thing, then Little Hope you will not like it either. But if you are a fan of these ‘interactive dramas’, there is nothing more ideal for this Halloween weekend, without a doubt ”, he concludes.
