Ikai, gameplay of the terrifying game set in feudal Japan

We tested the demo of the prototype created by Endflame, an indie studio made up of three people from Barcelona. The title comes in 2021.

Ikai is a psychological horror video game set in feudal Japan that revolves around the spirits of the past and present of Naoko, a shrine priest who rises up in a holy place where death and life intersect. We talked about this title developed by Endflame for Steam, an indie studio in Barcelona, in the last Meristation Tavern, and today we uploaded the entire demo to see what they are up to.

The main features of the project include the presence of old superstitions by the yokais, the monsters, ghosts and spirits of Japanese folklore, which forces us to explore a sanctuary set in Japanese medieval times and which forces us to remain calm. while we create protective stamps with a brush and ink. Additionally, we have the ability to stealth or run. And the first is more recommended so as not to alert the demons.

The game is planned for PC with a date yet to be determined, although we already have a trailer for the prototype and it is expected during 2021. The people in charge of this work are Laura Ripoll (producer and designer), Ivan Pérez (artist) and Guillem Travila (programmer). You can download the demo that we show you at this link and find more information at endflame.com.
