In recent days, a rumor has emerged that Marvel Studios was looking for an actor like Zack Efron for the role of the galactic character.
It is no secret that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is already in the pre-production phase for an upcoming shoot, with a premiere scheduled for mid-2022. But this does not mean that the rumors about its plot or characters that may appear or even die in the film. So much so, that in recent days a rumor has emerged that claimed that Marvel Studios was looking for an actor like Zac Efron for the role of Adam Warlock, a galactic character from Marvel comics that has not been confirmed at the moment. After a few hours with the rumor circulating on social networks and some media, the director of the film, James Gunn, has spoken to deny the rumor, not without showing some irony about it.
James Gunn debunks rumors about Adam Warlock
And it is that one of the main means to echo this casting rumor was the portal The Illuminerdi, which although on other occasions it has been successful with certain leaks, this time it has received the touch of James Gunn himself through Twitter. And it is the medium that claimed that Marvel Studios is looking for an actor to play Adam Warlock under certain physical characteristics, such as a Caucasian man in his thirties in the style of actor Zac Efron, for a “superhero role.”
There is no casting underway for Vol. 3. And in what world would I only cast a “Caucasian” if the character has gold skin? And if I wanted a Zac Efron type wouldn’t I go to Zac Efron? Where do you get this nonsense? https://t.co/dxZJUMvtVs

Thus, James Gunn has assured in a tweet that there is no casting underway for the role of Adam Warlock, denying one by one all the points of the rumor about said character for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: “There is no casting in progress for Vol. 3. And in what world would you cast just for ‘Caucasians’ if the character is golden skinned? What if I wanted a Zac Efron guy wouldn’t I go to Zac Efron? Where do you get this nonsense? ”Asks the director on Twitter.
Recall that James Gunn already hinted at the appearance of Adam Warlock in the second installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy in the UCM, although it was finally discarded because it already included too many characters; however, in a post-credit scene from Vol. 2 we can see what the character’s seed would be through the creation of a mysterious figure named Adam.
