Kena: Bridge of Spirits dazzles with new images loaded with fantasy

The game developed by Ember Lab was scheduled for 2020 on PS4 and PS5, but the studio decided to delay it until next year.

Ember Lab’s long-awaited action-adventure game will take a while. Kena: Bridge of Spirits was not ready for commercialization in 2020, so the study preferred to invest a little more time in reaching the quality levels that had been set. After denying that the game was finally going to be released at the end of 2021, we finally have new information in the form of images, which you can see in the tweets attached to this news.

The captures are accompanied by messages that outline in one way or another some conceptual aspects of the video game. Kena, the protagonist of the adventure, must accumulate knowledge about the town and the characters that live in it. “It’s good to have a lamp during these kinds of dark, rainy nights. What or who is the lamp that lights your way? According to Ember Lab, all settings tell their own story, a story that we will have to unravel as we explore the different locations.

Delay due to coronavirus

The coronavirus crisis has negatively affected the schedule for many developers. The production of Kena: Bridge of Spirits has been one of those that has suffered the ravages of the virus. In a statement released by Ember Lab, the developers specifically noted that there had been a slowdown in creative processes as all employees now work from home.

As for the supposed delay until the end of 2021, the study revealed that it was a typographical error, so everything remains the same: the forecast is that Kena: Bridge of Spirits will go on sale in the first quarter of next year, on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Sony’s next-generation console. As it could not be otherwise, the video game will benefit thanks to the more powerful hardware with faster loading times, graphical improvements and use of the DualSense functionalities.
