LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga delayed to 2021; new trailer

The title was scheduled for the end of 2020, but the developer has announced a new date during the Gamescom gala.

In a galaxy far, far away, the Skywalker family has a good slice of the pie in force control. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga reviews the nine main films, that is, the classic trilogy, the prequels and the most recent films. During Gamescom Opening Night Live 2020, Traveller’s Tale confirmed the rumors: the game will not be released this year as planned, but will be released in spring 2021. The announcement has been accompanied by a new trailer, which you can see about these lines.

The game allows us to relive a journey that begins in Anakin’s childhood, who later becomes a powerful Jedi knight to later fall into the gloom of the dark side of the force. His son Luke will try to redeem him and take him away from the emperor, but this time he will do it with a little more humor. The same will happen with the story of Rey and Kylo Ren, the new heroes and villains of the new trilogy, which put an end to the Skywalker saga (at least in the cinema) with Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker .

Star Wars and many more sagas

Traveler’s Tale is a very experienced studio in adapting sagas to the LEGO experience. In fact, they are completely specialized in it. In addition to the previous titles based on Star Wars, they have worked with brands such as Indiana Jones, Marvel, Batman, The Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. Through simple but effective mechanics, the developer offers a humorous approach, but without losing the essence of the original sagas.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga for PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and PC is not a compilation of other LEGO Star Wars video games, but a completely new product developed from the ground up. Is the force with him? We will see it in a few months.
