Ferrari Leclerc crash forces red flag at Monza
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc spun out during the second lap of the Italian Grand Prix, sending the car off at the fast Parabolica corner and triggering a full red flag at Monza.
While protecting fourth from McLaren’s Oscar Piastri, Leclerc lost rear grip, clipped the outside barrier at high speed, and escaped unharmed, and race officials halted racing to repair the damage.
The mishap compounded Ferrari’s home‑race setback after an earlier error saw teammate Lewis Hamilton rappel to eighth at the start, and Mercedes’ George Russell seized the lead from Pierre Gasly’s surprise pole position.
