MeriPodcast 14x03: 60 years of Sega, our best moments with their games

We remember some of the best games of an immortal company: the Sonic, Streets of Rage, Outrun, Shinobi and many others.

The retro team gathers again this season and starts in a big way, celebrating Sega’s 60th anniversary and sharing with all of you what are the best moments we remember with the company’s historic games. There are many big names that come to mind: Sonic, Streets of Rage, Golden Ax, Outrun and so many others. We will talk about our memories of them, the reasons that make them special and living history of the history of the video game.

It should be remembered that Sega is celebrating this 60th anniversary on Steam with great sales of all its games, from the most current such as the Yakuza to some of the classics. Sonic 2, perhaps one of the best games of the 16-bit era (and even video game history), is completely free for a limited time, and there are a fair number of offers on numerous games. Even the company is daring to carry out some leading initiatives such as releasing prototypes of games like Golden Axed for a limited time, a failed attempt to revitalize the renowned name and that we will be able to play for the first time on October 18. Also special attention to Streets of Kamurocho, a fun Streets of Rage reskin with Yakuza characters, which will also be available for a limited time.

We also remember that the weekly Meripodcast is still divided into two blocks, one of current affairs and the other retro. Last week the news team addressed the first impressions seen of the new generation that is already about to arrive. Do not miss it.

We also remember that you can listen to the program on YouTube, Ivoox, Itunes and Spotify.
