Monster Hunter Rise releases trailer, introduces monsters and dates its demo

The new Monster Hunter is from Nintendo Switch, it arrives in March 2021 and has left all kinds of news and details as it passes through The Game Awards 2020.

Capcom was another of the developers that did not want to miss The Game Awards 2020. The Japanese company was present during the ceremony to show a new trailer for Monster Hunter Rise loaded with information about the game. Information such as the date of its demo, which is confirmed for January 2021 and, as expected, will require a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online if we want to use its multiplayer functions. On the other hand, the video, which is what you can see on these lines, also presents us with four more monsters that we will hunt in this installment. Two of them are old acquaintances of the saga, the Royal Ludroth and the Magnificent Wroggi, and the other two, Somnacanth and Bishanten, are unpublished in it.

Demo available in January

The trailer closes by announcing the contents of its Deluxe edition, the different amiibos that will be commercialized coinciding with the release of the game and the different bonuses for reserving it before launch, scheduled for March 26, 2021. Although it is not an open world, Monster Hunter Rise inherits the exploration mechanics from Monster Hunter World and has promised to offer travel between regions with no load times, a stable 30 fps, and even various free DLCs. It will also not be the only game in the saga that we receive next year. Also on the way is Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, a sequel to the first Monster Hunter Stories, which came out in 2018 for Nintendo 3DS. It was an RPG with turn-based combat set in the franchise universe. Another exclusive for Nintendo Switch, but this one by the end of summer, on a date yet to be determined. We would cite his film adaptation as the icing on the cake for “Monster Hunter Year”, but seeing its reception by critics and the controversy in which it is involved these days, it is almost better to ignore that issue for now.
