Capcom confirms the release date for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin on Nintendo Switch, in addition to the Deluxe Edition and amiibos.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is coming to Nintendo Switch on July 9. Capcom confirms the final date as part of today’s digital event, March 8. The calendar of the hybrid console is nourished with another game for the summer frame. The same day, its PC version will also go on sale on Steam, shown shortly after the end of the presentation. On the same July 9, 3 new Amiibos will be marketed. Ena, Tsukino and Ratha Razewing will be the first figures to be part of the Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin collection. By using them in the game, you will receive additional armor and “daily bonuses”. On the other hand, since its arrival is close to the other installment of the saga, Monster Hunter: Rise, all users who have a saved file will be rewarded with another themed armor.
While this news automatically places it on the Nintendo Switch calendar in the second half of 2021, Capcom stresses that they will continue to work on its development until it sees the light; he still has to go. It will also feature cooperative missions that we know very little about at the moment.
Although the second installment is on the way, at the moment we should not expect a port of the original. This was explained by its producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, in statements to Game Reactor. “There are no plans right now to bring the original Monster Hunter Stories to the Nintendo Switch.” Of course, those who did not play it in their day should not fear anything when playing the new one, since the story and the protagonist are “completely new.”
