Charles Leclerc has reportedly altered his approach to Ferrari in the 2026 season, moving away from the tense radio exchanges that marked his crash at the Monaco GP.

Sky Sports Formula 1 pundit Naomi Schiff noted Leclerc’s new style, describing him as “more demanding” and “instructive” on the pit wall. Instead of presenting the team with a shared sense of obligation, the 28‑year‑old now outlines clearly what is required for championship ambitions.
After the Monaco restart, Leclerc’s vehicle hit the barriers and he blamed brake issues. Contrary to earlier seasons, he declined to admit responsibility publicly, a departure from his typical media stance. In the garage, he reportedly engaged in heated discussions with the crew, signalling a firmer stance toward the team.
Schiff referenced the Up To Speed podcast, which followed Kimi Antonelli’s historic win at Monaco. She highlighted that Leclerc has begun to “tell the team what he needs and what he won’t allow.” Her comments suggest a more collaborative dynamic, even if it seems driven by performance demands rather than personal emotions.
Next Race: Barcelona‑Catalunya
With the championship turning toward Spain, Leclerc is set to refocus on the Barcelona‑Catalunya GP, scheduled for 12‑14 June. The driver must set aside the disappointment from Monaco and recalibrate his team relationships for the next front‑row battle.
