The company Team17 will be in charge of editing the work of Studio Koba. It will also come to Xbox Game Pass from its opening day. New trailer.
Team17 and the Spanish development studio Studio Koba have reached an editing and distribution agreement for Narita Boy. The video game, a pixel art action title with clear reminiscences of the techno of the eighties, will be released on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC sometime this spring.
The agreement also informs about the availability of the game on Xbox Game Pass since its release. The native study defines the title as a side-scrolling mystical techno-tale, arcade action with elements of the classic two-dimensional platform games spiced up by a techno context. On the occasion of the announcement, the editor has distributed a new trailer that you can see in this news.
The adventure will put us in the role of a warrior, bearer of the Techno-Sword, a weapon that allows him to become a firearm or laser. Throughout the levels we will see references of all kinds to that time and we will eliminate corrupt enemies, bosses at the end of the zone and other adversities to save the Digital Kingdom.

Success on Kickstarter; a tribute to eighties techno
In the absence of knowing a specific release date, Narita Boy is one of the great highlights of the Steam Game Festival, a temporary promotion that allows us to access more than 500 demos of all kinds of genres and experiences until February 9. One of the reasons why this project stands out, apart from the promising nature of its proposal, is that it is well known in the independent scene in general and in crowdfunding campaigns in particular.
Studio Koba, back in early 2017, managed to raise more than 160.00 euros on Kickstarter to make what we now understand as Narita Boy a reality. Its 5,012 sponsors made it possible that, after extensive development, we are just a few months away from the premiere of one of the most prominent Spanish video games on the indie scene in 2021.
From FreeGameTips we compile in this article a series of outstanding demos of this Steam Game Festival 2021; among them, the now protagonist, Narita Boy.
