2027 NASCAR Cup series returns to a military base
July 30–Aug. 1, 2027, the NASCAR Cup series will resume racing on an active U.S. military installation; the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series joins the schedule while the Craftsman Truck Series remains off the calendar.
Weekend results on the Qualcomm Circuit
Corey Heim captured his first Cup victory at the 16‑turn, 3.4‑mile Qualcomm Circuit, while Austin Hill secured the O’Reilly win for Richard Childress Racing; the truck event was won by Layne Riggs, who executed a last‑corner move before caution.

2027 Cup schedule road‑course highlights
In addition to the San Diego event, the Cup calendar will include Circuit of the Americas, Sonoma Raceway and Watkins Glen International as its remaining road‑track venues.
