Neil Druckmann, director of The Last of Us Part 2, "heartbroken" by the leaks

The Last of Us Part 2: Naughty Dog seeks staff for his multiplayer project

The creative has been disgusted by the leaked material on the networks and responds to the message issued by Naughty Dog with a message for fans.

After knowing the final release date of The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima on PS4, June 19 and July 17, respectively, Naughty Dog posted a thank you message to fans of the adventures of Ellie and Joel acknowledging, in turn, that the leaks that have appeared on the networks recently are true; reason why they ask for responsibility at the time of propagating them. Its director, Neil Druckmann, has also sent a message to the community where he admits to having "a broken heart."

According to the message, published late on Monday afternoon on the social network Twitter: “With a broken heart for the team. Heartbroken by our fans. Still, we are incredibly excited to put the game in your hands. ” Without going into more detail, he assumes that these graphic materials and plot spoilers are true, so that there are still two months left in which players will have to dodge as much information and surprises as possible.

"Resist and survive. And silence ”

The creative support responses are immense. From actors like Roger Clark (Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2) to his peers. One message Druckmann has echoed is that of Kurt Margenau, co-director of The Last of Us Part 2, who also responded to Naughty Dog's official statement with a short phrase that gives way to interpretation: “Resist and survive. And silence ”, in reference to the possibility of silencing (or mutating, as the term is coined in vulgar language) the words related to the video game from social networks such as Twitter.

All in all, The Last of Us Part 2 will launch worldwide in both physical and digital form in the month initially scheduled for the new Sucker Punch. The month of May seemed very risky for the plans of Sony Interactive Entertainment due to the prevalence of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). In this way, they hope that a distribution of the title at the end of June can offer a little more guarantees to bring millions of copies to buyers worldwide.

The future, however, goes through PS5 in late 2020.
