The creative for now discards possible content similar to what Left Behind supposed in the original game. Naughty Dog does not currently think about it.
Naughty Dog is not weighing, at least for now, the release of a possible DLC for The Last of Us Part 2 on PS4. Unlike the first part, which was expanded with the story of Left Behind, in the words of Neil Druckmann – director of this sequel – is not something that goes through their minds at the moment.

In a meeting with Kinda Funny Gamescast, one of Greg Miller’s podcasts, Druckmann has participated alongside Ellie actress Ashley Johnson as well as Joel actor Troy Baker to talk for nearly two hours about the game in conversation full of spoilers. At around 1:52:00, the creative is very clear when asked: “There are no plans.”
Next stop: multiplayer mode, coming later
At the end of The Last of Us Part 2, many users wonder what is to come now and what is the fate of the surviving characters after a dense conflict, full of surprises and moments that must be calmly digested. From Naughty Dog, who already said days ago that they have no ideas right now for an eventual The Last of Us Part 3, will soon work in the already announced multiplayer mode of the sequel; but it will not be part of a possible DLC but will be part of the video game that is already available in stores for PlayStation 4.
The Last of Us Part 2 has become one of the most successful releases of 2020. The Naughty Dog video game has debuted with huge sales in both the UK and Japan, the first countries to have released the data. In the British country, in fact, it is the best launch of the year and has surpassed Uncharted 4 as the title with the best initial sales of the generation in the PlayStation 4 ecosystem.
Right now, the title is 94 out of 100 on Metacritic, two points less after the initial batch of reviews; At FreeGameTips we rated it with a 93 out of 100 and we consider it to be an excellent work with a narrative behavior that will take a long time to see.
