
The popular streaming platform is made with the rights to all the work of such a celebrated animation studio outside of Japan and the United States.
Netflix has taken over the international broadcasting rights of the celebrated Studio Ghibli films, adding to its catalog the 21 animated films of the Japanese company with such popular and award-winning titles as Princess Mononoke, The Journey of Chihiro, My Neighbor Totoro, The Tomb of Fireflies, Porco Rosso and many more. This was shared by The Hollywood Reporter, also announcing the release schedule over the next three months.
On February 1 Studio Ghibli arrives on Netflix
Thus, and throughout February, March and April, Netflix will add to its catalog the 21 films of Studio Ghibli, with dubbing in up to 20 languages and subtitled in 28 languages, an unprecedented worldwide movement outside of Japan and the United States. The calendar of releases of the work of Studio Ghibli is as follows:

Toshio Suzuki, producer of Studio Ghibli, has said that “today a film can reach the public in several ways. We have listened to our fans and made the final decision to offer our catalog of feature films in streaming. We hope that people from all over the world will discover the world of Studio Ghibli through this experience. ”
Meanwhile, Aram Yacoubian, director of original animation on Netflix, has admitted that “it is a dream come true for Netflix and for millions of its members. The animated films of Studio Ghibli are legendary and have captivated fans around the world for 35 years.
